Limbo is a third-person perspective game. Limbo is what is known as a platform puzzle game which was first released for Xbox Live and is now available for PC. Some reviewers have referred to it as gruesome, so its probably a good thing that it is only in 2D graphics. The game is relatively short, as in, it won’t take 15 hours to finish, but it’s priced very competitively on Steam (the only place where you can buy it for Linux for now) and honestly I cannot say it’s not worth it. Limbo is an independent horror game developed by software company Playdead. You rarely find yourself doing the same thing over and over again, new challenges, puzzles and encounters keep coming and will keep your wondering “what’s going to happen next?”. Limbo is very effective at making sure you keep playing, since it keeps bringing new elements constantly. The mechanics are extremely simple, you have about 2 keys/buttons to use on top of the directional arrows (or you can use a gamepad if you prefer) and this makes the game very approachable even to non-gamers. You will be confronted with giant creatures, parasites trying to control your mind, and other kids set on trying to kill you (for no apparent reason at first).Īs the title suggests, the world is very grim and dark – there are no colors used and everything is in shades of grey and white. And there too, you will find it is an hostile place, full of strange encounters. You do not know how you came to be here in the first place, but just like in Another World, you are set to explore your surroundings. You play the role of a little kid who has just awaken, lying down in the middle of the forest. Both games do not use any text at all to tell their story – everything is told visually as you progress through the levels and events. The game itself remind me an awful lot of Another World, a game I loved in my teenage years. Even if you have an Intel-based laptop, it should run just fine (I have a i5/Intel-HD 3000 laptop and it runs perfectly in native resolution, i.e. Now, the port released this year has been done by Icculus (Ryan Gordon, the angel of Linux porting) and it’s rock solid. The Room is a BAFTA-winning 3D puzzler from Fireproof Games where you immerse yourself in a world of strange contraptions and alchemical machines. However, at that time, it was basically running through a WINE-kind of layer (CrossWeaver) and unfortunately it meant some really poor performance on lower end machines. The game was first introduced for Linux several years ago as part of one Humble Bundle pack. Earlier this year (around June-July) it has finally appeared on Steam for Linux in a decent version using SDL. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I respect others right to opinions as equally as I value my right to spew my personal ramblings off into the almighty Ether. This is not exactly news, but I may as well point people who do not know about Limbo to check out this excellent game. I guess maybe people with self destructive personality disorder might actively search for things that are bad for them. This game actually did come off as a nightmare in and of itself. Do you never ever had nightmares in your life? It may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed the game the way it is. I wish I could delete this from my library but I can't.It's some kind of art. This video shows the locations of all 10 hidden eggs and their corresponding achievements in Limbo for PS3 and PC. There should be a "slit your wrists" tag on steam as some media makes you loose faith in humanity. Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiT Quoting: ElectricPrismAh a game about a molested person who is trapped in purgatory. Thank you kind sir, I think I got it in a Humble Bundle, and I played through it extremely sleep deprived all the way until 7:00 AM, some people are more sensitive but this game made me feel a special kind of creepy, and I probably had nightmares too afterwards so going back after all the hype I would have just been like nope. (Example: Bought Valve Complete, want to delete Portal (why?), that will delete Valve Complete Pack entirely.) But you will have to tick a checkbox and you will be warned about this. Generally you will be noticed if the game was part of a bundled key/purchase, because it will delete all other bundled games with that *specific* purchase. Then select "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". There select "Games, software, etc." Then type in the name of the game in the search box below. In the Steam client menu (no need for the website support) go to It's easy actually since half a year or so. More recently I've start to tag according to 1 Player, 2 Player, 3 Player and 4 Player because I like to do 3 Player Local Multiplayer with friends in my living room. The problem is for some reason Steam has deleted my categories probably 3 or 4 times. I've done this aswell, I have A, B, C, D and Z and I personally rate my games so I play the cream of the crop. I just put the games I don't need in the Junk category and remove them from all the other I have an "All", "Windows-only",, "Junk", "Unplayed", etc. Quoting: HoriFor me, categories work just fine.
